Offering a modern variety of pure vegetarian food including delicious vegetable dishes, basmati rice, dal, samosas, kofta balls, mouth watering gluten free cheesecake and the best potato bake you’ll ever have. Served in a buffet style you can choose from a small plate with two choices of food all the way up to a supreme plate with four choices of whatever your heart desires. A medium plate at $12 can easily feed two adults. That’s $6 per person for a full healthy nutritional meal. Bargain!
Krish Indian – Robina, Varsity Lakes & Worongary
With three locations on the Gold Coast, traditional affordable Indian food is always close by. Krish Indian has a comprehensive Indian food menu that has everything you need to enjoy a delicious banquet meal in the comfort of your own home. Krish offers exceptional service and you can order online for pickup or delivery – you’ll get your food in 30-40 minutes almost every time. For $28 you can have butter chicken to your liking, coconut rice, garlic naan with bonus papadums that will easily make two adults feel very full.
Miami Marketta – Miami
Every Friday and Saturday night from about 4 pm Miami starts buzzing with food stalls of all different nationalities – let’s not forget the dessert hall too!
Miami Marketta is the first and original street food market on the Gold Coast and is a family orientated outdoor dining experience that can seat up to about 450 people. Grab yourself something from Rango BBQ Ribs or The Hungry Hungarian with a wine, cocktail or beer and enjoy some blues, jazz and acoustic sets from local independent artist.
Siguenos Food Truck – Various Locations
Si’ genos translates to ‘follow-us’ in Spanish, and that’s precisely what they want you to do. Inspired by the trendy LA food truck culture, Siguenos has brought tasty, affordable Mexican to the Gold Coast. Popping up in various locations around the Gold Coast, by following them on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram you’ll be able to pin them down for a fish or beef taco for only $6.
The Lamb Shop – Broadbeach
This is no place for a vegetarian. Whole slow baked lamb shoulder, char grilled lamb ribs, or the local favourite soft shell lamb or beef souvlaki with Asian slaw and kewpie mayo with a side of hand cut chips, garlic oil and crumbled feta all for around $15, the Lamb Shop in Broadbeach is a must try.
